About HASKA

A multidisciplinary technology company building secure, intelligent and reliable digital systems.

Overview

HASKA works at the intersection of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, software engineering and infrastructure. Rather than treating these as separate specialisms, we approach them as one practice: the way a system is built, secured and operated are decisions that belong together.

Our portfolio includes a payment-verification platform in pilot, a live shared-expenses application, an open-source intelligence dashboard we operate and harden, an internal Android build registry, and research into cybersecurity education.

Mission

To build practical digital systems that people and organisations can trust — secure by design, honest about what they do, and engineered to last.

Vision

A region where world-class, Arabic-first software is built locally, to global engineering standards.

Engineering principles

  1. 01

    Security by design

Threat models, least privilege and audit trails are part of the first design, not a final checklist.

  2. 02

    Honest engineering

No invented metrics or inflated claims. Every product is labelled with its real stage of maturity.

  3. 03

    Built to be maintained

Typed end to end, tested and documented, so software keeps working long after launch.

  4. 04

    Arabic-first, world-ready

Right-to-left and bilingual interfaces are designed in, not translated on at the end.

  5. 05

    Operated, not just delivered

We run what we build, so deployment, monitoring and rollback are engineering concerns from day one.

  6. 06

    Speed with discipline

AI-assisted development lets us move fast; reviews and tests make sure we move in the right direction.

Areas of focus

How HASKA works today

HASKA builds its own products and runs them on infrastructure it configures and operates itself. That means the same team that writes the code also designs the threat model, provisions the server and answers for its uptime.

We use AI-assisted development throughout our workflow. It lets a small team deliver at the pace of a larger one — and it raises the bar on review, testing and security, which is where we spend the time it saves.

Development philosophy

  • Start from the real problem and the real user — a cashier, an administrator, an analyst — not from a feature list.
  • Prefer a smaller system that is correct, secure and observable over a larger one that is not.
  • Make status visible: a pilot is called a pilot, staging is called staging.

Future direction

We are deepening our work in applied AI and security tooling, taking our pilot products towards general availability, and publishing more of what we learn. Updates will appear in Insights as they happen.
